Planning Your Installation. Respect the water bylaws. Make sure you only have one water main supply. Also, ensure there is sufficient space for salt filling at later stages. To check the water pressure, locate and connect to the main water supply.
Water Pressure Test. A pressure test is necessary. Low or high water pressure could cause softener damage, or even complete failure. While the softener can be tested under pressure, it is recommended you install a pressure limiter to reduce your water pressure to 5 bar (70psi). Additionally, any water appliance should have a leak-controller.
